Can I bring my child to the meet (rather than have them ride the bus)?
All athletes must ride the bus together to meets and invites so that we can have our count going into the meet and know who is all there, as well make any last minute changes.
An example of this would be if we were a soccer team, football team, or basketball team we would be required to ride the bus together as a team.
The only exceptions to this rule are:
- Family events
- School functions
If the reasoning is not one of these then the answer is no.
If you would like to drive your child home after the meet that is ok. You just need to check in with one of the head coaches after the races are over, so that we can mark down who we have left on the bus.
If a child is driven to the meet without the approval of the coaching staff they will not be able to race; some parents may not like this rule but we are a team, we travel as a team, and race as a team.
We hope you all will support this decision, come out and cheer as loud as humanly possible for these kids because they are doing awesome!
